Bandai Namco has announced that One Piece: Unlimited World Red will see a release in Europe and Australia for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, Wii U and 3DS.
The adaptation of the immensely popular manga series was originally released in Japan solely for Nintendo 3DS late last year, however the western localization has it primed for multiple platforms.
World Red is the fourth iteration of the “Ultimate” series of games and sees protagonist Luffy and his Straw Hat crew allies in a brand-new scenario as they attempt to figure out the identity and motivation of a mysterious character. Fan service plays a large role in the action-adventure title as it recalls challenging and famous boss battles such as “Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Ceaser Clown” and more.
Additionally the game has a focus on co-op gameplay, which varies per platform. Both the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS editions will feature local gameplay up to four players that will allow parties to dish out the damage to enemies or enjoy some relaxing mini-games like bug-catching and fishing.
One Piece: Unlimited World Red is set to release sometime in 2014.
