While most games shift the story depending on choices you make in the plot of the game, XBlaze Code: Embryo wants none of that.
While playing XBlaze Code: Embryo you’ll have a little info icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. Select this icon and it pulls up something that looks like an RSS feed interface with different articles to choose from. Each post in this feed gives a clearer picture of the in-game universe and just like articles on the net they even have comments along with them.
What you’ve read from this feed will alter your perception of the world and change the game, the paths branching by information gathering instead of choices you’ve made in the story-line.
XBlaze Code: Embryo is set to be released this Summer in the West, though it’ll be released here with English subtitles and Japanese voice-over as it’s one of the few visual novels which have full lip-sync (a nigh impossible bit to localize).
