Hello Games just updated the US Blog with news on their upcoming Joe Danger titles for the Vita.

Originally released on the PS3, the game is a racing/platformer hybrid, and Hello stated that the games are nearly finished and running at 60 FPS on the Vita, they added that the game will have:

  • 84 levels, including the Director’s Cut and Laboratory stages
  • 25 characters to play as
  • Joe Danger 2 features 85 levels — including 15 from the Undead Movie Pack
  • A whopping 35 playable characters

Since the games have come from the PS3, any concerns about the control scheme have been addressed.

“We’ve spent a long time tweaking the controls to feel great on Vita, and we think you’ll like the results because they’re really simple! First, we’ve added touch controls for the menus and the Editor mode! This makes the games really easy to navigate. And in play, the only differences are that Circle now tricks as well as punches, while Triangle is a second trick button.”

That’s not all, for the new release we will also be getting Sackboy, Atoi and Iota as playable characters in the games.

For a little bit more, check out the blog. What do you make of the news? Excited for this?

It’s a shame they’re gonna be separate though and not available as a bundle – asked em on the blog to confirm.

Looking forward to some Joe danger. Had it on XBox, but got rid of my Xbox. It’s a bummer that’ there’s no bundle, but as long as they aren’t ridiculously priced, I’ll buy them both.
