Brazilian developers Ilusis Interactive Graphics are bringing the tower defense game Krinkle Crusher to the PS Vita this summer.

Krinkle Crusher puts you in charge of defending an outpost as the onslaught of ravenous Krinkles begin their attack. These cute little chompers devour everything in their way and need to be stopped. Unlike traditional tower defense games which require the player to set up defensive outposts to deal with the attackers, in Krinkle Crusher the player will have to cast the correct elemental spell in the right spot to deal with each of Krinkles. This will keep you on your toes as there are over 15 different types of Krinkles across the 60+ levels.

Ilusis Interactive Graphics is a new comer to the PS Vita platform, but they have done some work for PlayStation in the past. They recently released the soccer/rhythm game mashup Streetkix Freestyle for the PSP. They have primarily done games for iOS and Android but now are using the Unity engine to bring their new game to the PS Vita.

Krinkle Crusher is expected to be released this June or July. We’ll bring you more details as they are released.

Check out the teaser trailer below.

I’ll have to take a wait and see position on this one…looks colorful though. I like colors.

Same here. Looks cool, but their former game Streetkix is currently one of the lowest rated PSP games on the NA PS Store. Could be attributed to the fact that many expected a true game of soccer/football without the rhythm elements. Hopefully a demo will surface.

    Welcome to Unity.

Wow between these Brazilian developers making this game and those Ecuadorean developers making “To Leave” it looks like we can look foward to more variety on the Vita coming out of Latin America.
