A new role-playing game from Etrian Odyssey developer Lancarse gets a name and a Japanese release date.
The story (penned by Jun Kumagai, a talented writer who worked on the scripts of the Persona 3 movies and episodes of Persona 4: The Animation) goes like this;
The End (pictured below) is a mysterious man who slaughters, destroys, and welcomes the world’s destruction. He appears with the mysteriously erected monument called “Pillar” and proclaims war against those with abilities. A secret military agency of these ability users called S.E.A.L.E.D. quickly forms as a countermeasure to The End, their headquarters being the United Nations.
Other involved game and animation talent includes Takeshi Oga (who helped with the art in Gravity Rush) working on tower design art and Yuu Yamashita (who has worked as an animator or animation director on series like Naruto Shippuden and Sword Art Online) who will provide character design art.
Check out two of the revealed characters in the screens below – Shou Kasugai and Youko Tachibana;
The original report in this week’s Famitsu also mentions that the voice actors hired for the game’s characters will be mainstream actors, rather than regular voice-actors.
Lost Dimension will be released in Japan on August 7th, we’ll keep you informed as more information becomes available.
