XSEED has announced that everyone’s favourite big-breasted ninja game is coming to North America.

In addition to the digital download version (the main release medium for the title), XSEED will also produce a limited run of physical copies of the game, each set to come with a soundtrack CD and Shinobi Syllabus –  a guide containing profiles of the game’s characters, strategies and illustrations.

If you’re somehow new to Senran Kagura or have been avoiding it due to the lack of a Western release, here’s a summary of the game provided by Siliconera;

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus immediately follows the events of Burst, revisiting the fierce rivalry between the girls of Hanzō National Academy and their sworn enemies from Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy, the latter of which have now gone underground and formed a mercenary strike team known as the Homura Crimson Squad. In addition to their old adversaries, the Hanzō girls must also face a whole new set of foes: the students of Gessen Girls’ Academy, who seek to punish them for their imperfections as shinobi warriors. Meanwhile, a new class is in session at Hebijo, and these students mean business: they oppose all three of the competing factions and will stop at nothing to be the last shinobi squad standing – even if it means leaving broken bodies and shattered dreams in their wake.

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus will be released in North America this Fall. No news on a European release yet; but if the pattern we’ve been seeing holds, then an announcement can’t be too far off.

I’m interested in seeing just how limited the physical release will be. I had decided to wait on a price drop for that Ys: Memories of Celceta limited edition, but it actually turned out to be pretty limited and now it’s hard to find. I don’t want to end up making a similar mistake with this one.

If you ever buy games from any of the localizing companies in North America (Xseed, NIS America, Atlus, or Aksys) my advice is always buy it day one as these are tiny companies that tend to make short prints.

YES! I will be pre-ordering the limited edition! Now… how best to explain this game to my wife… Perhaps I shouldn’t try and just hide it.

    • nonscpo

Good luck to you buddy, I gotta hurry and pre-order mines too before they run out.

May the force be with us.

I managed to snag a Pre order at Gamestop today. So if that’s where you do your shopping, they’re up and ready for your money.

You can explain that: “Tits are life, ass is hometown.”

Somehow, I don’t think that will fly with her… however, seeing her face when I say it would be precious.

Hope they don’t censor it too much.

    • nonscpo

I don’t see how they can as the game is already censored, with nendoroid faces and light bars blocking the private spots.

For anyone who owns a Nintendo 3DS, the first game Senran Kagura Burst came out last November on the eshop. So if you want to have a mild taste of what this game has to offer you can download it for $30. Burst is a compilation game so its two games in one, 12 characters total, and you get to play the original story first 🙂

  • WhyWai

Must secure the limited edition physical copy!

Yeah pick up your “Let’s Get Physical Edition” while you still can.
