Screenshots have been revealed that show off three of the new weapons added to Toukiden Extreme, an upgraded version of Toukiden: The Age of Demons.

First up we have the Kanabo, this looks like a weapon that will be slow to wield but will pack a lot of punch. The Kanabo has the ability to deflect enemy attacks and may use its width to its advantage.

The Gun appears to be the most unique of the weapons. With the ability to show you enemies weak spots if you change into a stance, the gun also gives you different kinds of bullets and bombs to attack the Oni.

Last but not least is the Naginata – a spear like weapon that is designed for combos;

Toukiden Extreme is set to release in Japan later this year, as of yet there is no news on a Western localisation. The Vita Lounge will keep you updated as soon as we hear any new info on this release.

    I sure wish this was DLC. And I thought Capcom had a problem with releasing updated versions of Street Fighter. lol

      Actually all monster hunting games do this, they call it their G series. Monster Hunter has Ultimate, God Eater has Burst, Soul Sacrifice has Delta, and Ragnorok Odyssey has Ace as their deffinitive version.

        I guess that just means I should wait for the inevitable better version from the get go. But… what if the update gets an update? Where does it end? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

          I agree people should only buy the definitive version, the problem is most folks are impatient and would buy it anyway. As far as a re-release to the re-release, TecmoKoei and Capcom are the guiltiest ones.

            And I stupidly buy them again. Lol
