A Tweet from Devolver Digital has told us that Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition is to be submitted to Sony for Certification this week prior to it’s release on the PlayStation Vita.

Although no release date has been mentioned yet, the fact that the game has been submitted for certification does indicate that the game could be released shortly.

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition includes not only the original title and enhanced version of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, but also three unique expansion packs – Duke Caribbean, Duke it Out in D.C. and Nuclear Winter.

As always, as soon as we hear any more news surrounding Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition and it’s release date, The Vita Lounge will be sure to keep you updated!

How long does a Certification usually take. I have been way too excited for this game. I own it already on PC but VITA + Duke Nukem = Time of my life!

    • I think between two and three weeks, assuming there are no issues. Luftrausers was apparently in certification of and on for eight months.

      • God I hope not. I hope it’s a best case scenario.

Retro City Rampage was also similar, it sailed through certification in the US, but took a long time to pass and release in the EU
