Just like Soul Sacrifice, it appears Stranger of the Village of the Sword will have light, neutral and dark paths to choose from as well.
The three characters of Malilith, Riu, and Alm are vessels to the dormant spirits of the three greater beings “Phoenix” the Spirit of Light, “Oblis” the neutral Dragon King, and “Ol Ouma” the Demon Lord of Darkness. Once one of these three fully awaken their powers, the story will near its end.
To awaken the powers of a spirit you must give them “Pure Crystals” – items you obtain by defeating monsters with infinite lives. These immortal foes can only be defeated by having their “Blood Crystals” taken from within them, an act that can only be completed by the chosen ones.
Depending on who you then hand over the “Pure Crystals” to, different “Divinity Skills” will be unlocked for use in combat. These skills can be used after accumulating points on a Morale meter, giving your character different offensive, defensive, and magical advantages which have been yet to be clarified.
The Stranger of the Village of the Sword is slated to release on Vita later this year, keep an eye on TVL for any information we get on the game or its release date.
