The Kickstarter project Red Goddess: Inner World has successfully reached its funding goal and will be coming to the PS Vita.
Yanim Studios has surpassed their funding goal of $30,000 to make the Metroidvania-style Red Goddess become a reality. We first took notice of this game back in March when they were first starting out. You can check out our original coverage of the game here.
The game’s initial Kickstarter was unsuccessful and the studio was not able to reach the $50,000 goal it has set for itself. Not to be deterred, they relaunched the campaign by reducing their budget by 40% and this time seeking only $30,000. With over a week to go, they easily hit their mark.
The game is still at least a year from launch, though no specific time frame has been given. However, you can expect to see this “brawling action meets puzzle platformer” out on the PS Vita, along with the PS4, Wii U, PC, Linux, and Mac.
And it’s still not too late to add your name to the list of funders. Their Kickstarter campaign is still live until June 6, 2014. In the meantime, here’s a trailer with some good goddess gameplay footage. Enjoy.
