Cleaversoft has taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce that their new rogue-like runner, EarthNight, will be heading to the PS Vita (and PS4) in 2015.
In the future, dragons have taken over the Earth and have forced humans into an outer space exile. This doesn’t sit well with our two protagonists, Stanley and Sydney. They have taken it upon themselves to go on the offensive and skydive down to Earth and take out as many dragons as they can along the way.
The action will be divided between frantic side scrolling platform levels in which you run and jump on the backs of dragons, and skydiving levels which will slow the pace down a bit and allow you to catch your breath. Also, the difficulty will be determined by which character you select. Stanley will feature an easier to use control scheme and will be better suited for beginners while Sydney’s controls will be “less intuitive but ultimately more rewarding.”
EarthNight features beautiful hand-painted animation along with a soundtrack from acclaimed chiptune artist Chipocrite.
You can look forward to this game coming to PS Vita sometime in 2015, and E3 attendees will be able to get their hands on it next week. If you’re one of the millions unable to attend E3 however, take a peak at the launch trailer and gawk at the beauty (and enjoy some truly great music).
