Sony revealed new Free-to-Play titles and talked about previously announced F2P titles during their E3 show last night. Below are a bunch of F2P titles that we can expect to see launch on PlayStation Vita this year.



Taking on the role of a General, GUNS UP! from Valkyrie Entertainment is a free-to-play strategy game where players manage resources and deploy the right combination of troops, landing mines, air strikes, and smoke screens to destroy enemy bases and conquer new territories. Making use of Cross-Play, Generals can fine-tune their strategy against opponents with turn-based asynchronous gameplay across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita systems.

Fat Princess: Piece of Cake


Releasing this summer, Fat Princess: Piece of Cake is a match-3 puzzle game for the PlayStation Vita. Taking place in the Fat Princess universe, you will  be charging into battle with four different character classes to try and rescue the princess. You can use gems that you collect to upgrade your troops, feed cake to the princess to charge up her slam attack and trigger massive combos to save the kingdoms. Those players that reach level 15 in the game will be rewarded with a copy of Fat Princess for PS3 free of charge.



BigFest will give music-lovers the ability to build the ultimate music festival featuring real-world music talent. With the help of Big Dave and a crew of trusty roadies, you will help real-world, unsigned artists climb to the top of the charts as you build your own mega festival. If you need time out from the pressures of event organisation you can visit friends’ festivals to lend a hand by repairing broken toilets or to even sabotage their success with actions such as destroying their stage!



In Reaper, an action RPG platformer that is directed by Luc Bernard, players will be in control of one of Death’s reapers who decides to turn their back on Death after she sends him to take the life of his own daughter. When Reaper launches you will be able to collect over 100 Soul Cards. These Soul Cards provide you with simple items such as equipment, to more powerful cards that will give you Summons and Spells.


 My Singing Monsters



My Singing Monsters is a world-building game where the player collects and breeds adorable monsters. The unique thing with My Singing Monsters us that the monsters you collect sing, play and dance! Each island in the game is packed full of adorably cute monsters and has its own song. The PS Vita version will feature exclusive Yawstritch and G’joob monsters that will enhance your islands and make them like no other!

    I hope these FTPs don’t follow Fat Princess: Poc’s example and decide to take the iap path. Not only is that a shame to the PS ecosystem but also it’d be even worse if they tried and it worked out for them.

    BigFest might be ok if it’s more like a Bullfrog game than a mobile game. The rest sound pretty poor.
