Those sly son-of-a-guns over a Sony tried to slip the Disney Infinity 2.0 announcement for PS Vita (as well as PlayStation TV) right by us, but Kyle was able to catch it. Indeed, Disney Infinity 2.0 will be released for both the PS Vita and PlayStation TV “early next year.” This will bring the Vita on par with the Nintendo 3DS, which already has a version of Disney Infinity available. The problem is that the 3DS version of the game is, well, not good. Not good at all.

The good news is that the Vita version will be “just like the PS3 version.”

John Vignocchi, Disney’s Executive Producer for Infinity, took to Twitter to confirm as much.

Disney Infinity

So Vita owners can now breathe a big sigh of relief. The stable of “kid friendly” games is continuing to grow on the Vita and with new devices like the PlayStation TV being released in Europe and North America, the potential for the platform remains strong.

A trailer is out, showing a little bit of Minecraft for Vita https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bJnxVXK-dc

    • Wrong post? Although if Sony had actually used that at E3, many people might actually have been happier.

      • José Juan Regalado

        Indeed.

  • Anthony Brinklow

    Nice.

  • Lester Paredes

Great! But I feel sorry for my empty wallet… I guess I’d better start buying figures now…

  • How in the world would you connect the base to the Vita? The console versions have to stay connected while the game runs. That would be really goofy on the Vita.
