Fergal Gara, SCEE’s UK managing director, has let loose some good news for his territory; it will be among the first in Europe to have access to the PlayStation Now streaming/rental service.

In an interview posted Friday by Digital Spy, Feral Gara from SCEE had this to say about PlayStation Now’s release in Europe (specifically the UK);

“I think the UK will be one of the first European territories to launch in for two good reasons. The first is, it’s has a very strong gaming market and secondly the broadband infrastructure is up there with the best in Europe, or in the top end. Not all markets are in as strong [of a] position in terms of broadband infrastructure.”

Sounds like those in the UK won’t be too far behind North Americans (Canada/US) in the release schedule, seeing as how they’ll be one of the first European territories to get the service when it launches there sometime in 2015.

Hey UK readers, are you excited for PSNow? Let us know in the comments.

    Let’s just hope it won’t be like the PSN video store…

  • Lester Paredes

    That’s great!

    That Feral Gara is a wildman 😉

    I don’t think I’ll use it myself, but nice to hear we won’t be lagging too far behind NA. Just hope it won’t be detrimental to new Vita games being made.

    In order to playu games that I do not have I would have to buy them, or I just rent them?

    • Anthony Brinklow

      Rent I think.

    BTW Have any of you guys pre-ordered PSTV? I’m sitting here, looking at the product’s Amazon page, scrolling up and down, I can’t make up my mind. Vita does not have many games and PSTV’s promise is to support “most of it” which is going to be even lesser.

    I’ve looked at Wikipedia’s compatible games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Vita_games and that doesn’t seem to help. All I think about is how to reach out to the developer’s page and request Vita/PS TV and if scea is going to request TV compatibility for Vita games.

    • Kyle Wakeling

      Nah, I don’t pre-order – mainly because I’m poor. haha.

    Is there anyone in the world who believes this will run well? Without an r2 l2 adapter I wish Sony would stop claiming Vita owners want now and remote play, there’s not a single Vita owner that doesn’t want Vita titles made for the system and is excited about playing ps3 games. I have a ps3 Sony.
