The team at comcept and Inti Creates are hard at work building the highly anticipated Kickstarter project Mighty No. 9. In an attempt to satiate the seemingly unquenchable thirst for news on the game, they have released more details about the game and provided some more gameplay footage to get fans excited.
This latest footage shows our hero, Beck, fighting his way through a few different levels. Specifically, the new footage shows off “choice bits of Mighty No. 2 and 5’s stages.” This treats us to footage of Beck fighting his way through ice levels and showing off his super dash attack.
Of course you have to keep in mind that this is still “work in progress” but it appears as though things are coming along quite nicely.
Also revealed in the latest update was new details about the second playable character, Call.
Call’s look has been subtly modified and updated. They’ve also released some new details about how she will differentiate from Beck during gameplay.
For one, she will lack the dash attack that Beck has, but she compensates for this by being able to crawl. This will allow her to get into (or out of) tight spaces. They have release some early animation concepts to give us an idea of what the final product will look out.
Mighty No. 9 is still on track for release in Spring of next year and will be released on PS Vita as well as a number of other platforms.
What do you think of the new Call animations? Does it make you more excited for the game or not? Let us know.
