Released a four years ago, Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype gained some fairly respectable scores when released on the PS3, and it looks like we could be seeing a PS Vita port if this listing from the ESRB is to be believed.

The game is a single stick side scrolling shooter in the R-Type and Graduius vein, with some very hectic game play and was praised for its addictive nature and great visuals. The PS3 launch trailer is below to illustrate what can be expected.

We have reached out for confirmation from eastofasiasoft.

Have you played it on the PS3, or would you buy a PS Vita version?

Maybe. I do like shooters like Raiden and Ikaruga, so for me, this will depend on how much they want.

Agreed pricing is just as important, unless theres enough content to back up its price tag.

Never played it on PS3, but this looks good for Vita.

Still, I can’t help but wish the Vita has western-style shooters like Raptor and Tyrian (’90s classics on the PC). It might seem like a weird distinction, but I prefer shooters where you earn money to buy upgrades for your ship, instead of collecting power-ups during a level.

True true, the 90’s had great side-scrooling shooters. Ever played Darious Gaiden, that game was fun!

Never played it on PS3, would look into it if a Demo was available.

This looks great. I’m also hoping RayStorm HD and Darius Burst make it over to NA.

Love shooters! A must buy for me if it happens. I would love to see a Gradius or R-Type entry for the Vita. A R-Type Final or Gradius 5 remake/remaster at least.

I didn’t know Sidequest did shooters. I wonder how Rainbow Skies is progressing? Haven’t heard much on it in quite some time now.
