NIS America is looking into the feasibility of a limited physical release for htoL #NiQ: The Firefly Diary in the West.

Announced for localization at Anime Expo just a few days ago, more than a few were disappointed that htoL #NiQ was only getting a digital release. These people took to NIS America’s forums (among other places) to express their opinion, and it seems they’ve garnered a bit of a response.

This is what forum admin “Houk” had to say on the NIS America forums;

“We’re looking into the possibility, but it’ll really come down to the logistics of what the minimum order would have to be, and whether we think we can sell that many solely through our store. So at least know that it’s being looked into, though I can’t say what the odds are of it actually happening.”

So if you want a limited physical run I suggest you voice your opinion so that NIS America knows there’s a demand to warrant the supply. Throw them a tweet, join their forum and post in the thread, or just throw them an email – it can’t hurt, right?

htoL #NiQ: The Firefly Diary is set to hit North America and Europe in Q4.

    The real question is, will NISA censor the game like Criminal Girls? It sure has lots of gore.

      Nah, America doesn’t mind brutal violence. Its overly sexual things that we freak out over, lol.

        Ain’t that the messed up part of it all, too?

    While id be glad to see a physical release for this game, its limited release will force some people to buy it earlier than what they may or may not have intended. On a plus side their will be a lot of happy importers.

    Physical or not, I’m interested in the game and will get it eventually. Although, I will say that I do hope that it does get a physical release. I may not choose that option, but the option is good for consumers.
