Both North America and Europe finally get release dates for Cellar Door Games’ upcoming Rogue Legacy.

Ported to PlayStation by Abstraction Games and originally developed by Cellar Door Games, Rogue Legacy is a roguelike with a twist. In the interest of clarity, here’s the game’s brief explanation from the PlayStation Blog;

“It’s a rogue-lite game where you must conquer a magical castle which is constantly changing. Every time you die, your children succeed you. Each child has his or her own unique genetic traits, so one child might be a near sighted wizard, and another could be a flatulent ninja. So every play through is unique, right from the get-go.

As an added bonus, all the money you earn is passed down to your children, giving each generation a leg up on the last. And you’ll need every edge you can get, because this game is hard!”

Including three-way cross-buy, cross-save, a multitude of languages, a glorious Platinum trophy, all the content from the original and a completely PSVita-centric control scheme (to avoid any issues with a lack of buttons), Rogue Legacy is due out July 29th in North America and July 30th in Europe.

    Its weird, after yoshida message, a lot of third party game will land on the Vita.

      I don’t look at it that way. Before that ahole opened up his mouth to say sony is partially giving up on Vita (as if they hadn’t already done so) a few weeks after the Vita2000 was released in the US – BTW what a great help to ‘boost’ Vita sales in the US, thank you indeed mr. pain-in-the-ass yoshida – this game was already in development.

      So the fact that matters is this, if yoshida let the world know that sony cares more for ps3 and 4 than Vita, what will happen NEXT? I mean, will Cellar Door look at the Vita the same way they did when Rogue Galaxy was released AFTER mr. ahole spoke sony’s true plans?

      Maybe just maybe they took pity on us and released this game as a swan song act – announcing their last Vita game before they jump off the Vita boat.

        Sales will definitely decide future plans.
