Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty is almost upon us and we cannot wait for some more action in the Oddworld universe, courtesy of Just Add Water and Oddworld Inhabitants. It’s easy to forget that the Vita was also due a port of Munch’s Oddysee HD, which launched on the PS3 in December 2012.

Responding on Twitter, the studio confirmed that the game was still coming.

Originally an Xbox exclusive, the game was the first in the Oddworld series to be in 3D. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer for the game, as with Gravity Crash and New ‘n’ Tasty arriving very soon, JAW may have a little time to refine things.

Did you forget about this one?

I’d totally forgotten this was even coming, I think it morphed into New’n’Expensive in my head as the next Oddworld game to hit Vita – hopefully this hits soon at a fair price.

I thought they had scrapped it. That’s good, I’m glad it’s still coming.

Last I heard was that the game was tied up in Sony certification process. (much like Duke Nukem)

I hate certification. I wish they would speed things up. I need Duke 3D now.

I’m with ya a bit.. Not the biggest Duke fan but I really want to try out Munch HD after Stranger’s Wrath impressed me.

Sadly I owned an original Xbox (cause I cant call it Xbox One) and never got around to playing this game. Was it any good folks?

JAW replied to me on Twitter stating they will discuss and consider a non cross buy version of Abe for Vita at a lower price.
