    Where is Phantom Breaker, tho?

  • Rodolfo Ferreira

    WRC 4 – $39,99
    It takes forever to load;
    There are no opponents to race against, it’s only you all throughout the ‘campaign’;
    Car never gets dirty, even though it’s about a rally game;
    The store does not provide any information about its size, it only mentions it’s the full game (oh really, am I paying 40 bucks for a full game, thank you very much for this ‘information’);

    It was made by Milestone, the same (lazy) devs who said they’d rather “keep 30 fps on MotoGP in order to display better textures”. Poor excuse for a lie, they’re just reinventing the ‘Legacy’ concept EA introduced on Vita with their FIFA Legacy (aka ‘lazy’) editions.
    Vita’s port has nothing Vita exclusive, the game simply does not justify $39,99! Oh wait, it could be worse.. at least if you judge what Giants Software have done with their farming simulator 14, removing multiplayer on Vita edition and charging $29,99 whereas their android port cost barely $5 and features pretty much everything you could expect from it.

    We want more Vita games. Sure, we do, but don’t bring a half-baked game lacking stuff and charging full price. And if you do bring a full-featured game, do not overcharge us for it! We’re not stupid.

    • Lester Paredes

      You mean you didn’t know of that it was all time trials? And, sadly, no developer is under any contract of any sort to bring exclusive content to any particular platform. Car never gets dirty… Gran Turismo was the same until recently. And that game is acclaimed. Honestly, the only things I can agree with you in your speech here, is that some games are not worth their asking price and that we Vita owners aren’t stupid. Otherwise, you do your research before you buy. It’s not like videos of WRC 4 on Vita weren’t uploaded on YouTube since it came out in Europe what seems like forever ago.

      I’ve noticed that you’ve been on a sort of rampage since E3. I’m not saying you have no right to be upset, but if Vita’s situation and Sony’s handling truly upsets you that much, perhaps you should decide to take your business elsewhere. Or perhaps channel your frustration in a more productive way, like beginning a petition to present and say: this is what I and all these other people think about how things are going. I’d sign it. But, in the end, it’s not like you owe Sony anything, you are free to choose as a consumer. And the most powerful thing a consumer can do is not buy the product. I’m not trying to ‘kick you out’ or anything, but we’re all in the same boat here.

      • Rodolfo Ferreira

        I pointed out the let-downs to clarify why it’s not worth $39,99. And no, I did not buy it. Matter of fact, I “did my research” on youtube to come up with those facts. So thank you for pointing out the obvious.
        How can you make a comparison with WRC4 and Gran Turismo if the latter is not available on Vita (not mentioning PSP port)? Is that just so you can prove your point? You can do better than that. I think.
        Just how do you expect not only me but also everybody out there to react after this year’s E3? Huh? Am I supposed to hold hands with sony reps and sing Timbulala in order to celebrate the pathetic way they’ve been treating us since forever? I don’t care what you’re trying to say, I don’t care whether you feel like you’re “in the same boat”. I’m just speaking out of my frustration.
        Again, Lester, if you don’t like it, don’t bother answering. Simple as that.

        • Lester Paredes

          Okay, dude, you’re letting your frustration cloud your reasoning process here. What I stated was that if you are frustrated, do something productive about it. Whether that is no longer supporting the product because of how it’s being mishandled or doing something to try to improve the situation. But, quite frankly, all you’re doing is comiserating and it’s not leading to anything. As I stated, you have every right to be upset. Just do something about it. Because no one cares if all you do is complain, all sound and no fury. Look at Europe for an example: Freedom Wars was going to be digital only. The EU community took their complaints to Sony and they actually got a physical release. Look at Operation Rainfall, who did a positive campaign to bring over Xenoblade for wii and succeeded. Not every effort will be successful, but you can at least try.

          You tell me that if I don’t like it, to not even answer. If you truly feel that way, perhaps you should follow your own advice and not post your angry comments on articles that you dislike. If you don’t like it, don’t answer. But, that wouldn’t be productive at all, now would it? Instead of nothing happening, we’re having a conversation, but it’ll only amount to something if you pull yourself out of your funk and try to do something about it. Because you’re the one upset about it, not me.

          Now, if you did your research, as you say you did, you’d see that the entry for WRC 4 States the following: 65 cars, 78 stages, 13 countries, online mode for up to 6 players, all weather conditions and road surfaces. It seems as if all you did was look at the heading or maybe the Playstation Blog. Compare that to WRC 3’s entry, which mentions next to nothing on the game’s content. ‘race on 6 official rally, challenge the most famous driver of 2012 championship and test your skills’ is basically all the game info the description States. Now, I mentioned Gran Turismo because it took 6 iterations before vehicle damage was implemented. Two entries are on an arguably more powerful system: The PS3.

          Now it’s your turn to do better.

          • Rodolfo Ferreira

            Lester, it seems you want this discussion to go a long way, but I don’t.
            As you know ‘old habits die hard’, and yours is judging people with your own criticism.
            Quite frankly I didn’t read your response and I won’t waste any time doing so, so save your breath. You can write down a wall of words anywhere you want, and so can everyone else. It’s not only your right.
            And I can say whatever I feel fit, for better or worse, just like I did. I’m not going anywhere dude.
            And if you feel hurt by anything I said, do just like you did, as always, answer to my comment. Someone ELSE will answer TO YOU and then you will have a discussion.

          • Lester Paredes

            Just as I thought: All show and no go. Or, are you just lying and have nothing to respond with. Nah, it doesn’t seem as if you go that deep.

    How is Rouge Legacy?

    • Kevin Aaronson

      As dense and addictive as anything I have ever played, it’s brutal and hilarious. Everybody with a vita should own it.
