According to Famitsu, the first major update for Freedom Wars will roll out in early August.

The update brings along with it a number of improvements. It will bring an online infrastructure mode that allows voice chat along with a feature allowing players to attack hostile Panapticons, lowering their GDPP. In addition to these improvements, there will also be new Volunteer missions added to the game.

As if one major update wasn’t enough, Sony Computer Entertainment have also announced a further title update for Freedom Wars, scheduled to launch this Fall, introducing a competitive player vs player versus mode, allowing for up to eight players to battle simultaneously. The Fall update will also include a special event “Ideology Fight”.

Freedom Wars hasn’t made its way West just yet, but we recently brought you the good news that the title will release in physical form alongside digital download when it does launch in Europe.
