Developer Grimm Bros announces a new mode for their upcoming roguelike RPG Dragon Fin Soup.

Dragon Fin Soup is game about a young girl named Robin who lost her memory, the gameplay taking us on a journey as she looks to rediscover herself and the world around her. In the process of her travels, she learns more about her bloody past, the mysteries of Asura (the space turtle the game’s set on) and even the details of a murder.

Robin draws her inspiration from Red Riding Hood, though it’s quite obvious it’s simply inspiration and not the entire character – especially when you note that Robin is an alcoholic bounty hunter.

Part roguelike and part classic console RPG, we get our first details on a new mode;

Endless Labyrinth mode features an infinite maze, packed to the brim with high-level bosses and touchy traps. In addition to the danger and infinite adventure, the mode even includes a score sharing feature, which allows you to show off your high scores to your friend list.

Watch for Dragon Fin Soup to release sometime before the end of the year.

    This game looks quite promising, I hope it delivers 🙂

    The more I hear and see of the game, the more I’m excited for it. Which is saying something, because I was completely disinterested in it when I first heard of it.
