Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppet gang are swapping Hollywood for Handheld when Disney‘s The Muppets Movie Adventures launches exclusively on PlayStation Vita this year.

The Muppets will explore different movie genres, ranging from Sci-Fi to spaghetti Western. We are told that there will be five different worlds where we can see Miss Piggy become a barbaric warrior, become a Cowboy with Animal and help Kermit take on aliens.

The Muppets will also battle pirates, fly spaceships and hunt down hidden items such as golden frogs whilst coming across different movies and movie stars from the land of Hollywood.

Here is an image of the French boxart for the game, with a story on a French website revealing some screens for the game which you can see below.

Details are thin on the ground for this title at the moment but as soon as we hear more, The Vita Lounge will be sure to keep you informed.

    Well that’s a shock!

Well, that came out of the blue. Not the exclusive I was expecting, but if I get to play as Kermit D. Frog , I’m already 99% sold.

Hmmm… The Muppets? Play as Kermit? I’m not sure about this. I mean, do I even LIKE the Muppets? I’ll have to give this one some serious thought first.

This is kind of awesome… Might get the attention of some younger fans and kind of makes sense with what the Vita Lounge came up with (the shifting of the Vita’s position to get more kids and in turn more units to ship) but aside from that it kinda looks fun…

  • What is this….Ah heck. I love the Muppets so I’m gonna grab it. But TOTALLY out of left field.

An exclusive game for kids is nice to see, but the vita also has incredible potential appeal to casual gamers so i hope sony recognizes that.
