Russian based developer Slush Games reveals PS Vita game in development.

Details regarding upcoming Gothic fantasy game Exorcism have be revealed, and give us an idea of what to expect from the latest offering of the team at Slush Games.

Exorcism is set in a fantasy world, where strange dark creatures are terrorising a peaceful civilisation. To protect the citizens and restore peace, a special force team of ‘Exorcists’ are deployed to stop the undead and restore peace. You play as an Exorcist named Dana, who is rather handy with a cross bow and magic. It is up to you to not only protect the people, but also stamp out the root of the problem once and for all.

Exorcism 2

The gameplay is very straightforward, destroy the undead and avoid injury. But to make things more interesting the game features heavy RPG elements as well as a nice use of ‘dual-stick shooter’ controls. You’ll be able to loot, upgrade and learn many different magic skills, all to help you crush enemies.

Slush Games have recently stated via their Twitter pages that people should not expect the next Diablo, but a game more similar to Geometry War. But we have been promised 3D graphics that will push mobile devices “To the limit”, a great grim Gothic atmosphere as well as fun and addictive gameplay.

Exorcism is only in it’s first few months of development, so no word on a release date yet, but keep your eyes peeled to The Vita Lounge for any further updates.

I think I would compare this more to Dead Nation.

Vita needs a good dungeon crawl. Or, at least that is what I currently desire. Lol. Still, this looks interesting. I liked just about everything about Dead Nation, except for the inherit darkness of everything. I’ll keep an eye out for this one.

The vita lacks dungeon crawlers with multiplayer features or pvp feature…Ive been jamming dragons crown endlessly but can only jam so much of it and will eventually get bored of it…wish they will bring good multiplayer games to the vita soon

There were rumours of final fantasy 11 comig to vita or maye Diablo 3 but nothing came from it thus far…If sony can manage to get those games on vita dan I can guarantee you the vita will sell like hot cakes just with those two games…

    • FF11 the mmo? I doubt it with ff14 being promoted. FF12 would be more believable though. No chance of D3 either but you can play it in remote play that’s about as close to the vita it will get.

  • finally something on the vita that might peak my interest.
