Minecraft for the PS Vita was originally scheduled to be released in August. But as August is quickly coming to a close, it has become quite obvious that it won’t make it this month. This delay seemed to be confirmed when it was mentioned in a commercial that we could expect it to come “Out in September.” Now, a recent Tweet from 4J Studios indicates that we could be waiting even longer.
On Twitter today, 4J Studios announced that the Vita version has “a bit more work to do” before they can submit it to Sony for certification. This is coming close on the heels of the PS4 version failing its first attempt at certification and had to be resubmitted.
We have a bit more work to do on #MinecraftPSVita before we can hand it over to Sony. We'll let you know when we hand it over.

It’s unclear as to when Minecraft will be released for the Vita, but following this latest announcement, it’s looking more unlikely that they will even be able to make a September release.
