New details of gameplay modes and upgrades have also been released by Koei Tecmo;

Regional stories that have been revealed include the Legend of Shikoku, the Legend of Tokugawa and the Legend of Tohuku.
- Character Creation
Character creation has been upgraded for the latest release, with more customization options than in previous titles. Players will be able to truly create their own unique officers and special quests will allow players to unlock and obtain rare weapons for their characters.
