Two player fencing/fighting game Nidhogg is coming to PS Vita, Mark Essen from Messhof announced today.

Nidhogg was first announced for PS4 and today we learn it is coming to PS Vita also. Nidhogg is a two player fencing/fighting game where the ultimate goal is to be eaten by a pink dragon; Nidhogg. Yes, you read it right.

Nidhogg is meant to be a partygame where you have to fight eachother locally or online. There’s a built-in tournament mode for 3-8 players as well. Players can fight online via WiFi against PS Vita players or play cross platforms against PS4 players. The PS Vita also supports ad hoc mode and even a mode where two players can battle on one PS Vita, each using a different stick.

Players who want to fight alone or want to practice can fight several AI opponents in the single player mode.

A release date for Nidhogg isn’t announced yet, keep checking here for more updates about Nidhogg for PS Vita.

I’ve been hoping for this one.

Probably not for me. I’m more of a single player experience guy. Although I’m happy to see the excellent variety of games heading to the system.
