A new video has been released for the upcoming Vita title Rollers of the Realm which explains how the developers at Phantom Compass were able to blend RPG elements into a pinball game.

In Rollers of the Realm players will be able to use different balls which represent the different characters in the game. So for example, the Knight will be a larger ball that causes more damage while the Rogue is small and can squeeze into tight spots. The game is also fully voice acted with an orchestral score to give it a more cinematic feel.

This story based pinball game will be coming to the PS Vita as well as the PS4 complete with cross-buy and cross-save. You can expect it to come out this November for $9.99.

I’ve been an avid RW and virtual pinball player for as long as I can remember so I’m somewhat interested in this. Reminds me of that Gamecube pin that I can’t remember the name of but was actually quite fun.

I’ve been interested in this one for a while, so I’m glad to hear these details (especially the price, since a lot of digital games wait until the game is nearly out before announcing it). I already have way too much pinball to play on Vita between Zen Pinball 2, The Pinball Arcade and Pinball Heroes, but this one is still worth getting since it’s a different style of pinball.

Reminds me of Balls Of Steel on PC. That is a good thing!

Upon watching the trailer of this game I noticed something…

Creative Director of this game,David Evans, looks exactly the same as
the Biologist Dr. Paul Robertson from an Animal Planet’s documentary
    “Mermaids The New Evidence”….
