FuturLab has recently discovered a lot of success with the launch of Velocity 2x. They first saw success by making the popular mini Velocity a few years ago, and now it looks like another developer is looking to bring their small game up to the big leagues.

Tikipod has revealed to Punk and Lizard that their PS Mobile game, Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender is being brought over to the PS Vita and PS4 as Aqua Kitty DX.

Aqua Kitty is an arcade style defense game that has you protecting a group of cats who are mining for milk at the bottom of the ocean. It’s a fast paced, skill based shooter that will test your timing and reflexes.

No specific date was announced for its release, but Punk and Lizard was told that it is “coming soon.”

Always wanted to try this game, but I never really dove into the mobile side. I almost pulled the trigger a few times, though. Glad I waited.

They gave it out for free during some promotional event awhile ago. That’s how I picked it up. Turns out it’s a really fun, challenging game. I’d like to play it again and earn some trophies this time.

Correct, it was in that 6 free PSM games over 6 weeks promotion they did right after Christmas 2012.

I got the game too, and even played it a little. =P

It’s definitely one of the best PSM titles, really happy the best games are becoming native. More than anything I would love a Thomas Hopper collection of his best 4 titles native with trophies.

saw the news over at NeoGAF (VitaGAF) – great to see this game finally coming on the Vita as a native title!

Great news, I grabbed the original when PSM launched and will get the native one when it’s on sale. Hopefully they are a success and can create some new games.
