A release window and detailed information on new game elements revealed in Famitsu
A couple of days ago we brought you the news that attendees to this years Tokyo Game Show would be able to battle the first Aragami from the upcoming God Eater 2 expansion Rage Burst.
We now have more information and a release window, with Famitsu revealing that Rage Burst will be available for Vita and PS4 this winter in Japan. No details of localisation were announced, which isn’t a surprise when taking into account Bandai Namcos previous reluctance in bringing games to the west. Other details revealed included:
- Blood Rage
A new power, which can only be achieved when the player has achieved certain conditions. You firstly need to build up your special gauge to 100, then swear an oath to your God Arc. You then have a certain amount of time to fulfil that oath, which if fulfilled, will unleash blood rage. Simply put, Blood Rage gives you a massive strength boost.
- Storyline Teasers
We still have limited details regarding storyline in Rage Burst, but what we do know is that in the main questline there will be content spanning 6 different difficulties.
- New Character and Weapon
A new character, who goes by the name of Livie Colette, will also make an appearence. Whats more, she will bring with her a new form of melee weapon know as a “Variant Size”. Combat with these weapons revolves around attack timings, which will grant players flexibility in how they approach a fight.
Bandai Namco Games made the announcement of God Eater 2: Rage Burst at a PRE-TGS keynote earlier this month, and with TGS officially starting tomorrow, we can expect more news and reaction surrounding everything God Eater. For now, we keep our fingers cross for a release in the west whilst longingly watching the reveal trailer.
