New colourful trailer shows how Rise of Mana will look on everyone’s favourite handheld.

A few weeks ago we brought you the news that Square Enix would be bringing two of their free-to-play titles to the PS Vita this winter. One of those titles, the action RPG Rise of Mana,┬áreceived a trailer at the Tokyo Game Show, and displays how the game will look and play on Sony’s Handheld. The trailer features a weirdly uplifting song, and plenty of colourful visuals. You can watch the trailer below:

Rise of Mana releases on Vita this winter, along with another Free-to-play RPG title Deadman’s Cross. The original mobile release of Rise of Mana included 8-player coop and dreaded microtransactions, which of course could be used to speed up your progress in-game. So far all we know of the Vita port is that it will include new original events.

While the 3ds is getting bigger games by square enix, vita owners are stuck with mobile ports. SE even took one of vita’s most anticipated title and while making a troll face and showing a huge middle finger to its fans, made it ps4/xbox1 exclusive. It even hurts more that most of these are f2p.

That looks a lot better than the last trailer. Interest is piqued, but I’m still cautious. In the mean time, I’ll sate my Mana craving with Secret of Mana and Legend of Mana.
