Square Enix has released a new trailer for the upcoming Japanese release of Chaos Rings III, showing off the game’s theme song and several cutscenes.

While it’s obvious that the trailer focuses only on the entirely new Chaos Rings III, it’s worth noting that the PlayStation Vita version of the title will also include the prequel trilogy when it launches October 16th.

What do you think, is this one looking interesting or are the pre-rendered cutscenes and lack of gameplay video putting you off?

It’s pretty, sure. But there’s no context to anything that’s happening. Dude fights a will o’ wisp, then falls off a cliff, then climbs the back of a naked statue woman, then base jumps to a planet that looks like earth, a girl joins him, and then the sky is filled with blue… What the hell is going on here? None of that made sense. Well, at least it was pretty?

Looks cool, not really sure how that kid survived, but I’m interested.
