We get two really short looks at the upcoming Japan-only anime fighter with two new commercials posted on SEGA’s Japanese YouTube channel.

In case you hadn’t heard, Dengeki Bunko Fighting climax is a 2D fighting game in which two players fight against each other using both a playable character and an assist character. The roster is pulled from light novel series under the Dengeki moniker and the characters are more often than not voiced by their anime counterparts.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting ClimaxΒ is set to release November 13th in Japan, with a Western release unlikely due to licensing concerns.

Good news is, as a fighter this one’s ripe for import πŸ˜‰

And of course they are showing Asuna for this japan-only game so that everyone else wants to play it too >_> Sometimes I think they are mocking us! πŸ˜›

  • Phelan

    No way…
Shana, Misaka, Touma…. but i’ve just noticed there is also HOLO!…. screw it… I’m importing… I love spice and wolf too much to miss it.

Ah, how could I’ve been so ignorant and not studied Japanese when I was younger. Life would be so much more fun right now, not to mention my Vita’s memory card would be a lot fuller with all these great games that either come to Japan first or are exclusive to the country.

  • Lester Paredes

Yes, it won’t come over due to Licensing and because it’s Sega. If it doesn’t have Sonic, it’s probably not going to make it over.

      Or Miku ! πŸ˜›
In any case this looks to be very cool! I would probably never get it because I’m absolute crap at 2D fighters. Give me a Vita Virtua Fighter however, and I’d be on that post haste!

      • Lester Paredes

I love Virtua Fighter. I suck at it and all 3D fighting games, but am okay at the 2D ones, so the exact opposite of your problems. Still, that never stopped me from losing my money in the arcades and Virtua Fighter 2. Go Leon!
