Infinite State Games reveals their fact-paced action title has been approved for the EU PSN Store. Following approval from Sony, Don’t Die, Mr Robot now has a release date, revealed through a tweet from Infinite State Games official twitter. We can expect the hungry little fella on our Vita screens on the 29th October in Europe.

Originally titled Avoid Droid, Infinite Games were forced into a name change when it was revealed that LucasFilm owned the trademark of the word “Droid“.

Described as a game that is “big on fun, and small on plot”, you play as Mr. Robot, who’s main aim in life is to get his robotic hands upon as much fruit as possible. There is just one problem though, everytime he tries to eat one, it explodes! Rather than be down-heartened by this cruel irony, Mr Robot uses it to his advantage by deploying each explosion to destroy the hordes of killer robotic machines out to kill him.

The aim of the game is to get the highest score possible, which is achieved by getting the biggest chain of explosions possible. Its all about timing, and waiting for the most amount of fruit to appear on screen to obtain the biggest multiplier and biggest chain.

There are also four different game modes:

  • Remix Mode: 50 levels of craziness, in which the rules constantly change and push the player to the limit.
  • Arcade Mode: A never ending mode, where the aim is to get the best score and compete on the leaderboards.
  • Time Attack: A game mode that lasts 2 mins 30, with tweaked difficulty to fit your skill level. Dying costs points and time.
  • Chill-out Mode: A more strategic mode, which still involves an elements of challenge.

There are also a load of unlockables, from extra characters with unique abilities, to hats to make your character more stylish.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before we get a release date in NA. Looks like a fun little pick up and play game.
