I almost bought the first in one of the last deals, but I didn’t like much the vocaloid/J-music style of the game. But after seeing the video, I wonder: it is really necessary to create a second game? I mean, they could not only add new music and/or game modes as DLCs within the first game?

I heard that the amount of work to be done for DLCs like this game are as much as working on a new game. You can’t just throw in new songs, and let the game sort it out by itself. If you’ve tried the Edit Mode in the game, you’ll know what i mean. Tons of detailed work! :V

Wow, I had no idea it was that complex. Thanks for the information!

A second game? This is like the fifth game not counting Arcade version, and each new version adds a new element to the rhythm game, and adds further polish to the mechanics and graphics. PDF2nd is noticeably a better rhythm game than PDf, both in the rhythm maps and difficulty curve. It’s not just adding new songs, it’s more than that, to a degree that can’t be just added as a patch or DLC.

I see! I didn’t know there were so many adjustments. As one who hadn’t played yet, it semed to be more simple.

I’ll be getting this based purely on how much I liked the last game 🙂

Too many good games all coming out at the same time, damnit.
