Here we take a look at what games will be gracing both European and North American shores this November for the PlayStation Vita.

We all know that some games can appear out of the blue and release on our favourite handheld with only a few days notice, but here are the key titles that we can expect this month;

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Release Date – 4th November NA / 5th November EU

One of November’s PlayStation Plus titles, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a remake of the Steam hit, The Binding of Isaac. The game tells the story of Isaac and his mother, based on the biblical story with the same name. Isaac’s mother hears a voice from above telling her to remove all that is evil from Isaac. She obliged but it is not enough, she has to kill Isaac to proof her faith. Isaac is aware of this and flees to the basement of his house and this is where all the action takes place!

Don’t Die, Mr. Robot!

Release Date – 4th November NA / 5th November EU

Described as a game that is “big on fun, and small on plot”, you play as Mr. Robot, who’s main aim in life is to get his robotic hands upon as much fruit as possible. There is just one problem though, everytime he tries to eat one, it explodes! Rather than be down-heartened by this cruel irony, Mr Robot uses it to his advantage by deploying each explosion to destroy the hordes of killer robotic machines out to kill him.

The aim of the game is to get the highest score possible, which is achieved by getting the biggest chain of explosions possible. Its all about timing, and waiting for the most amount of fruit to appear on screen to obtain the biggest multiplier and biggest chain.

If you are still on the fence about whether this game is for you, why not check out my review of Don’t Die, Mr. Robot! here?

Let us know in the comments which of these titles has your eye and why – we will be back at the same time next month for a look at December’s releases!

Until next time, why not take a look at Tyler and Kyle’s awesome set of videos that look at the PlayStation Vita titles that we can expect in the coming months here?

  • simon askew

Diva 2nd for my vita, persona Q for my 3ds, arena ultimax for my ps3, and farcry 4 for my ps4. Not a bad month really!

    • SarcasticPersona

Congrats dude. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is my Game of the Year so far.

  • demfax

My gosh, are we seriously just getting more indies?

    • Guest

Yeah, Vita’s dead without AAA support.

      • demfax

I think it’s been dead for a while.

        • Charlie Large

75% of the titles above are not Indies, with only Minutes, Don’t Die, Mr. Robot! and The Binding of Isaac being the only ‘indies’ on display in that list 😉

          • demfax

Ahh… I see. I’m just so used to seeing indies show up, I assume everything’s an indie.

EDIT: That sounds biased. I guess what I mean to say is that my perception is skewed.

          • Small games arent indies, “Indies” are games published by the developer. There are other intricacies to determine an indie as well but that’s not here on this list.

          • demfax

I did not know what. Thank you for the information.

          • aros

You think a Muppets and Adventure Time game are indie?

          • demfax

            They look indie.

      • Phelan

That’s BS. I don’t know why people are mixing up term AAA with everything that is not indie.

Vita has maybe 2-3 AAA games.

AAA means very big budget games, and that’s it. It doesn’t mean first party games nor games that are not indies.

Apart from AAA there are also AA/A/B games, every category depends on size of budget. As a matter of fact games like Demon Gaze are either B or A titles. Oreshika is typical AA. Most of stuff that NISA or Atlus are doing are either B-AA.

For 3DS I doubt that there are any serious AAA games, and look it is alive and kicking. (Neither Zelda nor Pokemons are AAA games)

Handhelds don’t need AAA games, it needs A-AA games.

        • Nonscpo

It cant be help Phelan, the problem we have is that the early adopters of the Vita were promised AAA-western develop games. Even though long-term handheld gamers like us knew to have reasonable expectations when it came to both western and eastern developed games. The recent boom of the indie games didnt exactly help the Vita’s image either.

  • Phelan

Soo… only Tales of Hearts R for me… Maybe Arcana Heart… but with that I’m not sure…. probably I’m going to import Dengeki Bunko instead… but will pick up Arcana some time later because that’s NISA, and people should support NISA in Europe.

  • BDawg

Whatever happened to Forgotten Memories? It should have been out by now, right?

    • Kyle Wakeling

We’d like to know too – last we heard it was coming this year but nothing more.

      • BDawg

From their Facebook page, just today:
“we are in the final stages of polishing. We should share some news about release date in the coming days/weeks.”

This is the vita game I am probably looking forward to the most!
Also I am totally get Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth upon release! 🙂

  • Lester Paredes

Looking forward to Tales and Bon Appetit! I hope Citizens of Earth is good, too. Because I need another rpg to add to my pile of unfinished rpgs.

  • Steve

Thanks for doing this as a written piece and not a video, much appreciated 🙂

  • Kyle Wakeling

TWAU, Tales, Bon Appetit! and PDf 2nd for me! (Damn…)

  • Mauricio Quintero

At least it is almost certian that we are getting GTA SA HD and a Naruto game sometime in the not so near future.

  • WillMerfi

My backlog is so long I don’t care. I’ll get Tales of Hearts eventually.

    But the Muppets? Seriously?

  • Nonscpo

Damn so its between Hatsune Miku PDf2 and Senran Kagura Bon Appetit. Not sure which to pick do I go with the Petankos or the Oppais? Digital versus Retail? Xseed versus SEGA? or do I go with casual experience versus miserable-masochistic difficult experience? Its just so damn hard to choose 🙁

  • Steve Jaworski

I am so buzzed for Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, it just ain’t funny. Love it to pieces on the PC. Ad-Hoc Vita play will be amazing. On the fence about The Wolf Among Us. Telltale make remarkable titles but they are just too damn glitch filled for my tastes.

Titles in the pipe I am looking forward to are Resogun, Hotline Miami 2 and Disney Infinity 2.0.

  • SarcasticPersona

Why do I have a childish sense of interest in The Muppets game and Disney Infinity Vita…

  • simon askew

I have a couple of AAA games for vita, killzone and most wanted, and in my opinion they just dont play that well on a handheld system compared to the comsole versions. People just need to accept that racers and fps will never be as good on a handheld.

I suppose I am fortunate that the games I prefer to play; hatsine miku, persona, bravely default, rayman legends etc play the same as their console versions.

If I want to play racers or fps I use my console, for rpg its vita and 3ds.

Just because vita does not have the games you like does not mean its dead. For me its alive and kickin.

    • Kyle Wakeling

I think how well games play is a matter of opinion – especially seeing as how I’ve played every Killzone and Mercenary does a LOT of things (including controls) better than any of the others.

      • simon askew

Agreed, it is a matter of opinion, and in my opinion some types of games dont translate that well on handhelds. Since I dont really care about the fps genre I find it strange when people say vita has no good games, I think it has plenty.

Also, if mercenary was made for a console I would imagine that the console version would be the better version. Vita is to cramped for that type of game seriously.

        • Kamil Michał Ciura

Nah, it isn’t cramped. It actually works pretty well. Especially scope mechanics are brilliant use of rear touchpad. Never had issues with control scheme. Multiplayer/botzone is also much more fast-paced due to smaller maps, which are surprisingly rich in vertical lines, Yeah, it would probably run better on PS3 at higher resolution and more stable framerate, but would it be a better game? I doubt it. I think platform limitations played major part in the fact this game turned out so good. It is tight, focused and action packed without unnecessary filler material. I think potential remaster (I think we will se one if Sony will decide to do put together Killzone anthology for PS4) will show people without Vitas that this is strong contender for title of best game in the series, just like HD edition of Peace Walker did for people without PSPs in case of Metal Gear Solid.

  • darkknezz

have we confirmed whether or not Binding of Isaac Rebirth is PS+ cross buy?

  • charliescottskinner

    Don’t overlook Don’t Die Mr Robot – it’s reviewing at around 80% 😉

  • Bruno Bttg Dnz Plhn

    what has happened with Teslagrad??

  • Bruno Bttg Dnz Plhn

I’ll definetelly get TWAU and Tales of Heart, but I wonder what happened with Teslagrad, i was waiting for this one big time, does anyone have an idea??

  • EC

初音ミク for me, but have a backlog to play first. When is Minutes coming to NA?
