Devolver Digital has announced on Twitter that Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition will release in January for the PlayStation Vita.

After the game was released on the European PlayStation Store today in error, Devolver Digital revealed that the game will be released in North America on January 13th and, officially, in Europe on January 14th.

As always, keep an eye of The Vita Lounge for all news concerning the Duke between now and his Ass-Kicking release on our favourite handheld in the New Year!

OOH… let me get my nostalgia glasses polished and ready…

The tile promoting the game still appears at the top of the Australian PSN store. But when you tap it you get a error popup saying “This content may not yet be for sale or is no longer for sale”.

Price on the tile is listed as $14.95. We Aussies get price gouged, so if that is the correct price in Australian dollars, it should be cheaper elsewhere. Probably the wrong price though.

  • Would much rather see some new titles on the system rather than re-re-re-releases of old games.

Don’t get me wrong, I love old games, but I don’t think they need to be present on every system just because the system can run it.

LOL…That second tweet ya know. Somebody out there is going to try to make a lets play I bet, the only question is will Devolver pull out a DMCA claim if they do?

Apparently it’s very smooth and plays great.
