We gt a look at the opening cinematic and some new details from the upcoming Compile Heart sequel Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Century

First up, we’ve got the opening cinematic video from the game, which is what plays when the game starts for the very first time.

Check it out here;

But that’s not all, as we’ve also got this video which showcases the changes in the game;

The battle system has clearly been revamped, with regular attacks now filling up a gauge which can then be used to perform skills, special attacks, and the HDD transformation. They’ve also added new story elements, with extra events added to each chapter and a new scenario that unlocks when you complete the game.

Compile Heart also revealed that the game will have a ‘Nariyuki Dungeon’ mode, in which Stella traverses Neptral Tower in an attempt to gain you items. After picking a location to explore, Stella’s load out, and who is to accompany her as an observer, you can send her into dungeons where her automated exploration takes place in real time – whether or not you’re actually playing the game.

Should Stella manage to return with some health at the end of this exploration, you’ll gain items – with a special item awarded for clearing out an entire area. If her HP is entirely depleted mid-exploration however, you’ll lose any items you gave her, as well as those she picked up while exploring. The difficulty level of these explorations ramps up as you progress, so you’ll have to make sure that Stella is properly equipped when you send her out of you’ll simply be losing everything.

Aside from in-game details however, it was revealed that a limited edition version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Century will be available at launch, featuring a ‘situation CD,’ a ‘Purple Heart Graphig figure,’ and a special card for the Neptunia Unlimited Vs. trading card game series. Pre-ordering the game will also net you a DLC code for Neptunication; a special event that allows you to communicate with Neptune.

That’s all we know for now, but we take care to remind you that Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Century is due out in Japan on December 18th, with no news yet on the very likely Western localization to follow.

    I hope it is announced for the West. It seems likely, but weird stuff happens when it comes to localizations.
