According to this week’s issue of Famitsu, Kaga Create is bringing dating simulation game Hyakka Ryouran Elixir: Record of Torenia Revival to PlayStation Vita in Japan.

Kaga Create seem to be going all in with the dating sims on Vita; first Higurashi When They Cry Sui was announced earlier this month, and now we’ve got Hyakka Ryouran Elixir: Record of Torenia Revival getting the Vita treatment from them as well!

Originally developed by AXL and released mid-2013 as an 18+ PC game, the Vita version will be a bit more tame – though they’ve promised to add two new heroines and well as new opening and ending tracks to sweeten the deal.

Hyakka Ryouran Elixir: Record of Torenia Revival for PlayStation Vita will be available sometime this Spring in Japan.

Well, Higurashi is not really a dating sim 😀

  • All we can do is hope that someone will take pity on us and release this in the west as well 🙁

You know what, I believe they do take pity on us and start talking about a US release with scea, but then scea tells them ‘nah, this isn’t something that will sell like hotcakes in the US’. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of Japanese Vita gamers never saw a US release because of scea. They’re the kind of assholes who’d rather pay you $50 for ‘misleading Vita Ad’ instead of making their word count and support the device like they once said.

While it sucks that the 18+ content was removed, what Im more concerned about is a localization especially for Higurashi (heard soo many good things about that franchise).
