The next iteration in the fantastic MLB: The Show series is set to hit our favourite portable console this March, according to a PlayStation Experience announcement.

Just announced today, MLB 15: The Show is back at the plate – set to hit PlayStation consoles (including Vita) at the end of March.

Bringing with it a slough of game improvements, MLB 15 is set to offer enhanced visuals, new gameplay features, and an improved online experience. They’ve also noted that this iteration¬†offers a renewed focus on player emotion and personality, and to aid in that; for the first time ever the game will feature licensed equipment from the most recognizable brands in baseball.

Check out the game further with this brand new trailer (PS4 footage, but still);

Or get an even closer peek with this behind-the-scenes featurette;

MLB 15: The Show is currently set to hit PlayStation Vitas in the West on March 31st – so get out MLB 14 and start practicing now!

PS; Did you catch that at the end of the trailer? Looks like the game will be available as a download code, not a game card. (Thanks, Liam!)

    Maybe if the Vita version is download only, that means they can include all animations and game modes as the consoles this time since they are not restricted to the Vita’s 4 GB game card limit…
