Another piece of news that found its way out of the PlayStation Experience was that Konami would be bringing their 1999 RPG Suikoden II to PlayStation Network this week for those in NA regions, and the package will also include the original title.

The second entry of the series follows as a continuation of the story set in City-States of Jowston, where social unrest has led to a military uprising against the oppressive Highland Kingdom Military led by Prince Luca Blight. Players take on the role of Riou; a youth swept up in the politics and fighting that threatens to burn the countryside asunder. With his comrades Jowy and Nanami, Riou is tasked to recruit the 108 Stars of Destiny, heroes to stand by his side. The game features three different battle types, mini-games and multiple endings, as well as a massive branching storyline.

Always wanted to play Suikoden 2. Never could afford it. Now I can. Thanks, Konami. Now, please do the same with Metal Gear PSOne, metal Gear Portable Ops, and both Metal Gear Acid games, and I’ll be a happy, penniless fool.

Suikoden 1,2 and 3 are some if the best rpgs I’ve ever played. Really excited to get to play suikoden 2 again, I got suikoden 1 when it was on sale at the psn store iirc but i haven’t had time to play it again. I’m gonna play them back to back when I get suikoden 2 tomorrow.
