Kaga Create has announced that they’re bringing adventure game Friend to Lover to PlayStation Vita early next year.

A port of the PC version of the game, the Vita version of Friend to Lover will feature a number of enhancements and additions, including revised scenarios, a new summer event, tons of new CG scenes and even a brand new character.

If you haven’t heard of the game before, here’s a plot description courtesy of VNDB and Gematsu;

“It’s spring once again and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It’s the season of the beginning of a new life. The protagonist has lots of fun being with his guy friends, but he wishes for something more: a girlfriend! It’s not only him that has these kind of feelings, the girls around him also feel the same way. He aggressively pursues those close to him since love won’t come to those who wait.”

Friend to Lover will be available for PlayStation Vita March 26th in Japan, with the standard physical edition priced at 6,800 yen and the digital copy a slightly more palatable 6,000 yen. If you’re looking for a limited edition however, they’ve got you covered there too – a first-run version dropping for a cool 8,800 yen alongside the others.

    More visual novel love. Too bad I don’t really care for them, even though games like Broken Sword, Grim Fandango, Sam and Max Hit the Road and everything by Telltale games are so similar, and I love them. Maybe it’s the way the latter games allow me to interact with seemingly more than just screen prompted choices. Or, maybe I’m just crazy and haven found the right vis-nov. Phoenix Wright never steered me wrong… neither has Danganronpa. Maybe I’m just not into the romance ones? Maybe this comment has gone on for far too long…

        Yeah, I had a terrible headache and was up far too late at the time I wrote that. Lol

    You forgot to mention that the original port of the games was a “18+” version Kyle, just saying!

    “Aggressively pursues” sounds creepy and really wrong given these are probably his childhood friends who do not see him like that. How much aggression before they give in? Will the sequel be a prison sim?
