Arc System Works are porting a version of side-scrolling fantasy title AeternoBlade to the PlayStation Vita, now renamed Time Avenger.

Originally released on the Nintendo 3DS, Time Avenger is set to release in Japan this December at a price of 1,500 yen. Aside from the Japanese text, the PlayStation Vita version looks exactly the same as the one that released on the 3DS.

The game is developed by CoreCell Technology from Thailand – one of the few companies that make games for consoles in the country. Their previous efforts were both PlayStation Move titles – lightgun game Wicked Monsters Blast and Crazy Strike Bowling.

As soon as we have more information on Time Avenger we will be sure to keep you updated on the site. For now though, why not check out the game’s trailer below?

If it looks the same as the 3DS port Id be concerned, tried out the demo and wasnt that impressed.

Could be cool. I’ll keep an eye out for it if it comes west.

  • Devin Hudson

Seems a bit Castlevania-esque, so I’m definitely interested. The Vita could always use more of those, so I hope it comes out here.

If you own a 3ds I strongly advice you to try out the demo first!

I tried it out and it seemed pretty good. I definitely wouldn’t pay $15 for it, but if it was around $10 or less I would pick it up for my Vita.

Looks like it could be kinda fun. The animation looks kinda stiff tho. Shame it’s not more optomized to reflect the Vita’s capabilities.
