First-print bonuses and pricing have also been announced.

A few days ago we brought you details of a new system and potential playable character in Bandai Namcos upcoming One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. The rumours have now been confirmed and the Revolutionary Army Chief of Staff, Sabo, will indeed be playable instantly, as long as you are lucky enough to pick up a first-print copy of the game.

Included within these versions will be three separate download codes which will unlock all sorts of bonus goodies. The first code will give you access to Sabo, the second a special costume for Luffy and lastly a character download code for the smartphone game One Piece: Treasure Cruise.

But when will these first-print copies be available I hear you cry? As soon as the game releases in Japan, which has been revealed by Japanese magazine Shonen Jump as being March 26th. We were also given pricing information. The PS Vita version will cost 6,800 yen (£36.53/$57.29) whereas the console counterparts will cost 7,800 yen (£41.85/$65.72). We also now know that the games main mode will be “Legends Log” in which players will experience a number of Legenary episodes, incuding Luffy’s journey and the Dress Rosa arc.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 will release simultaneously on PS Vita, PS3 & PS4 in Japan on March 26th,  and we still await details on a western release. As we near the release date, you can bet that TVL will keep you up to speed with everything One Piece! You can check out the original press release from Shonen Jump below:

Probably won’t come out over here. Sadness.

O ye of of little faith. You’re probably right but still LOL!

      • Lester Paredes

Believe me, I’d like it to come West. But Bamco hasn’t been the nicest to us Vita owners. If it comes out, I’ll gladly buy a hat, and then eat it.

  • Yoyitsu

Oh how I wish they’d release the Vita version over here, I’ll have to make do with the PS4 version like I did last time with the PS3 version of PW2.
