Koei Tecmo have announced Deception IV: Another Princess in a recent issue of Famitsu, and we’ve got some details courtesy of Gematsu.
First up, we get our first look at a new character for the title – the nightmare princess Valgyrue. She’s the daughter of a devil (though she seems to have lost her advanced abilities due to a long nap), and specializes in kicking techniques.
Valgyrie stars in the newly added Quest Mode, a part of the game where players can advance by clearing quests and progressing through a quest tree. With a hundred quests and new traps and abilities to obtain along the way, this might be one of the biggest additions to the title.
Speaking of the progression in Quest Mode, at some point during your advancing you’ll happen upon Laegrinna – the original protagonist of Deception IV. Appearing as a formidable enemy due to her previous training in the field, she won’t go down without a fight.
Aside from a look at the all-new Quest Mode, we also get word that this version of the game will contain an edit function called “Deception Studio” and a bunch of new traps – including three named “Delta Horse Rodeo,” “Bleached Dye,” and “Wash Toilet”.
The PlayStation Vita version of the game is set to cost 5,143 yen as a digital download, or 5,800 yen as a physical release – if you’re looking for a premium physical edition however, the price jumps to a hefty 8,800 yen.
Deception IV: Another Princess is due out in Japan on March 26th, keep an eye on TVL for updates on the title as they’re made available to us.
