New images and story information unveiled for 5pb‘s Saekano Vita title.

A few days ago we brought you the news that a Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend game adaptation was in the works for PS Vita. The games official title will be Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend – Blessing Flowers.

We now know that the story will focus around Tomoya Aki’s sponsored circle, who are planning to debut their first doujin game. But all their plans are thrown into disrepute when it is discovered that a rival circle will be releasing  a galge at the upcoming winter convention.

Of course, Tomoya Aki’s circle want to do everything in their power to ensure that their game beats the rivals galge. They feel that the revelation of a rival circle competing is a clear decalarion of war. They only have three months to ensure that their game beats their rival!

Check out games main cast below:

Tomoya Aki

Alchemists of the Dusk Sky9

Eriri Spencer Sawamura

Utaha Kasumigaoka

Izumi Hashima

Megumi Kato

Michiru Hyodo

You will have to work closely with all the characters above to ensure your doujin game is the best it can be. You may become involved in disagreements, and how you deal with each one will affect how your playthrough will develop. You’ll also have to recommend various light novels, anime and games that fit each member of your circles tastes. These will then be used as reference materials for the finished doujin game.

We were also treated to some images from the game, which you can check out below:

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend – Blessing Flowers will release in Japan at some point in Spring 2015 for PS Vita, and we await news of a western release.

The title image says girlfriend but the article says boyfriend all through it?

    • I assume that there are/will be two versions, one for men and one for women (otome).

    • Probably a mistake! The japanese definitely mentions it being girlfriend. (冴えない彼女の育てかた -blessing flowers-)

The anime is airing as well!

    • It’s a mistake, which has been corrected – sorry for the confusion.

Anyone know if the anime’s any good?

    • I just finished watching the pilot episode on Crunchyroll. If you’re like me, a fan of harem anime with comedy and ecchi/fanservice thrown in, you’ll love it (it’s no To Love-Ru, though).

Great, who doesnt love a good romantic comedy 🙂
