We get a better look into the upcoming Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons tr., which is based off – but doesn’t mirror – the anime.
In Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons tr. you play as Naomi, a rookie para-mail pilot who is trying to repay a debt she owes. Gameplay is split into two portions; during the daytime you can interact with different characters from the series (the drama portion of the game), while at night you’re a dragon fighting fiend (the battle portion).
Choices in the daytime bits will change the story, increasing the bonds between Naomi and the other para-mail pilots – if the bond becomes strong enough you can then unlock special event scenes or even summon extra help during the battle portions of the game.
Speaking of the nightly battle portions, these epic dragon fights play out like a shooter – earning you money for each dragon shot down. This money earned can then be used to customize your para-mail and prepare you for tougher enemies, allowing you to advance to tougher missions.
