We get some fresh details on Bandai Namco’s upcoming 3rd Super Robot Wars Z Tengoku Hen, including bits about new mechanics, transformations, custom music and more.
First up, we have news about a new menu added to the D-Trader which allows the buying and selling of upgrade parts. You can strengthen your Z-Crystal by spending Z-Chips (earned through shooting down enemy units and other tasks), giving your unit buffs such as “Scout Out All Enemy Units” and “Combo Gauge+1 at Ally Phase Start.”
Next we have some details on the reappearance of Buster Machine No. 7, which can be activated by taking Nono from Diebuster‘s Morale to 120 and executing a command called “Combat Mode.” This enables her and her machine to transform into Buster Machine No. 7., which can’t be reverted for the duration of the stage.
Continuing on, a new tag command has been added called “Boost Dash” which increases your movement power by five and allows you to move without being affected by the terrain. You can use this command even when surrounded by enemy units, making for a quick escape if you need it.
Moving to the music, we’ve been told that not only can you set background music for each mecha, but you can also set music for each weapon. This could make for some pretty bad ass fights as pulling out a new weapon will then set off a theme song for battle – pulling you into the experience with a cinematic overture of awesomeness.
