Curve Digital has announced that they are bringing Dan Marshall’s ‘Steampunk Cyber Crime Caper’ The Swindle to the PlayStation Vita later this year!

Described as a ‘mix of stealth and platforming gameplay, with some roguelike and RPG elements thrown in‘, The Swindle will see you break into building, hack systems, steal cash and then make your escape. You will have to try and do this without breaking glass or setting off alarm bells as not to alert anyone to your presence!

In between levels you will be able to upgrade your thief to enable you to take on larger buildings that have improved security systems. Upgrades include new tools and skills that you can choose from at your airship HQ.

Dan Marshall describes the game as a mix between Deus Ex and Spelunky, with mechanics inspired by games such as Syndicate and XCOM.

An announcement trailer for the game can be seen below, with updates also available at the developers – Size Five Games – official site. The game will be playable at the Curve Digital stand at PAX East for those that are attending.

We will bring you more on this intriguing looking title as soon as we have it, so be sure to keep an eye on The Vita Lounge for more news on The Swindle as and when it happens!

This looks really cool. I’m getting my wallet ready.

This looks really nice. Seeing that I have every other Crave game for Vita, I’m sure I’ll end up with this one too.
