New information on One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3’s Sabo and Shanks has been revealed.
The first bit of news comes from Sabo gameplay footage, which can be seen here;
In it, new tidbits on how Sabo plays are showcased. Kizuna Attacks, which we covered last week, are co-op attacks used to bring your allies into battle, as seen with Luffy in the video. Once your Kizuna Gauge is filled by using Kizuna Attacks, you’ll be able to use your Kizuna Rush, which is shown at 2:10. It’s activated using the R2 button, and for a short while, Sabo’s attack damage increases as he merges his Fire-Fist abilities with Luffy’s Gum-Gum powers as his combo grows. Once the bar next to your ally is gone, you start from square one. You can combo any characters for different results and switch at any time in battle. If enough character’s Kizuna Gauges are filled, you’ll be able to perform a Special Kizuna Attack where all allies join in for some fun, as seen at the 3:58 mark.
It’s not just Sabo hyping up One Piece fans around the world this week, since Red-Haired Shanks has been confirmed to be playable by Weekly Shonen Jump.
Shanks can be shortly seen in this commercial for the game;
You’ll be able to use Shank’s three types of Haki, including one that can slow time and another which allows for wide-range attacks, on March 26th in Japan, and this Summer in the West and Europe.
Until then, keep hanging around The Vita Lounge for everything One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3.
